Bringing Movie Props to Life

I’m a member of a small community of replica movie prop builders. I’ve made a niche for myself bringing to life the props that other members create.

Here we’ve recreated the droid remote and consoles from the movie Oblivion. I wrote the code to bring the GUI to life and integrate with the hardware. From the remote you can pick different movie scenes, turn the displays on and off and replicate console action from the movie.

Near Real Time Satellite Imagery

This Python script monitors a NASA file server for new content and downloads files as they become available. It then adds them to the animation loop for near-live solar displays.
